Financial Services Thought Leadership
Thought leadership | Content development
Across my years in content marketing, I have developed an expertise in conceptualizing, writing, and refining thought leadership content bylined by financial services executives.
The ask
Whether I’m dealing with an executive at a stock exchange or partners at a renowned financial services provider, the requirements for a thought leadership project are always fairly aligned. These leaders are typically looking to build their credibility by publishing unique perspectives on a key topic in their industry, using their past and present experiences to frame their opinions.
The work
When I’m working on a thought leadership project, these are the steps I take:
Conduct a collaborative conversation with the leader or their marketing team to uncover an appropriate, engaging topic
Craft interview questions to guide a conversation with the author and gather their specific insights on the topic
Review existing content from the thought leader to better understand their voice and tone
Develop an outline for the piece to ensure alignment
Write the full draft, matching the voice and tone of the author
Gather feedback and refine the content appropriately
To date, the thought leadership content I’ve developed for executives has been published on their personal LinkedIn pages, on company websites, and in leading financial publications like Due and OZY.
